Q: I have a pottery pig moneybox called Woody, one of several issued by The National Westminster Bank as a promotion. I would like to collect the others. How many were there and what are they worth? Mrs B
A: There were six pigs in the set, and the one you have, baby Woody, is the most common and worth about £15. The others in the family are Annabel (schoolgirl) £15, Maxwell (schoolboy)£45, Lady Hilary (mother) £35, and Sir Nathaniel (father) £65. The valued vary because of availability -- some are harder to find than others as less were issued.
In 1998, the National Westminster Bank issued a new Wade pig moneybox called Cousin Wesley. Current value is £125. There we also pottery mugs depicting all the pigs, worth about £12 each.
