MORE people go to the pub in the North-west than anywhere else in the country, according to new research.
In a poll by the Campaign for Real Ale, 45 per cent of people in the region said they went to the pub at least once a week, with the national average being 29 per cent. And 23 per cent of people in the North-west said they never went to pubs, lower than the 27 per cent across Britain.
