DON'T skip breakfast . . . tucking into a healthy morning meal is good for you. So says Brian Iddon, MP for Bolton South-east, and next month he will be backing Britain's All-Day Breakfast campaign.
People across the country are being encouraged to hold "breakfast parties" on Friday, March 7, and charge guests £1 to eat the day's first meal.
It is all part of a fundraising drive by Cancer Research UK. It has staged the breakfast campaign each year for the last four years and this year hopes to raise £200,000.
The campaign is designed to raise awareness of the importance of dietary fibre in good health.
Money raised will go towards cancer research.
Dr Iddon said: "Lots of us skip breakfast, but it's one of the most important meals of the day.
"By holding a breakfast party, you can kick-start your day with a healthy breakfast and raise money for a good cause at the same time."
If you would like to take part, call the Breakfast Hotline on 08701 602 040 or visit www.cancerresearch uk.org/alldaybreakfast or send an e-mail to bbadb@cancer.org.uk.
