ONE of the North West's leading South Asian theatre companies visits The Octagon, Bolton, with a thought provoking new drama looking at the devastating race riots that took place in Oldham in 2001.
This will be Peshkar Productions' second visit to The Octagon, following the sell-out success of Masala Girls last September.
The drama, Just Before The Rain, runs until Wednesday, and examines how it would feel to be unwittingly caught up in the petrol bomb chaos of the riots. It looks at the consequences after the riots and how they affected attitudes.
The play is performed by, and has been written and devised by, five young emerging Asian artists, four of who live in Oldham.
