THE immortal bard, William Shakespeare, may well be the focus of attention at Bolton Little Theatre's next production, but the words spoken will most certainly not be his.
In fact the company presents A Shakespeare Revue from Saturday to March 1, featuring a mammoth list of contributors including Bernard Levin, Cole Porter, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Bill Oddie, Franz Schubert, Frank Muir, Dennis Norden, Sandy Wilson, Stephen Fry, D H Lawrence, Jerome Kern, Victoria Wood, Alan Bennett, Peter Cook, Caryl Brahms, Ned Sherrin, Dillie Keane, Richmal Crompton, Julian Slade, J B Priestley, Derek Nimmo and Noel Coward.
The show is based on the revue created 10 years ago by Christopher Luscombe and Malcolm McKee. Add to this Bolton Little Theatre's own contributions, and the revue promises a varied evening of laughter and song.
The cast comprises Sue Bamford, Carole Butler, Frances Clemmitt, Christine Flannigan, June Grice, Jennifer Lee, Sharron Knott, Stephen Knowles, Stewart Smith and Eddie Williams.
