FIREFIGHTERS were called to extinguish a fire inside an empty Tonge Moor house at 1.30am today.
The blaze, which is thought to have been started deliberately, destroyed the front room of the Eldon Street house.
Half an hour later a crew put out a blazing Ford Fiesta which had been set alight on fields behind Lever Edge Lane, Daubhill.
