A YOUNG woman who fell into the drugs world through peer pressure died of a single heroin injection, an inquest heard.
Victoria Evans, of Church Road, Bolton, died at the Royal Bolton Hospital after injecting herself with the drug six days previously. An inquest in Bolton heard how 25-year-old Victoria had been in and out of rehabilitation for four years and how her family had struggled to help her.
Doctors said the area where she had injected herself had turned septic and she went on to develop multi-organ failure.
Coroner Jennifer Leeming said the death was a tragedy because it was clear Vicki had a lot of support and love from her family. She returned a verdict of misadventure.
