WANDERERS have a four point cushion away from the relegation zone after West Brom conceded three goals in five minutes to lose against Fulham last night.
But defiant Baggies manager Gary Megson is adamant Albion can achieve Premiership safety from their remaining 11 games.
Commenting on the Loftus Road defeat he told the official www.wba.premiumtv.co.uk/ web site: "It's a set back because we've thrown away our game in hand.
"But there are still points to play for and I do believe we can stay up.
"It's come to a stage now though where we've got to stop talking about the future.
"We've got to deal with the here and now and that was a bad performance from us.
"A five-minute spell of poor defending changed the whole outlook but that's not been the norm all the way through the season."
Albion's joint-heaviest defeat of the season has turned up the pressure for Sunday's basement battle with West Ham.
But the Baggies boss refuses to single out any of Albion's remaining fixtures as more important than the others.
And he is sure his side can pinch victory against anyone who stands in their way if they maintain their trademark spirit and start taking their chances.
"We've got 11 big games ahead," he added.
"We haven't looked at the fixture list and said 'we'd like to win that one, we might not win that one', because we think we can win them all
"But what I do know is that if we defend like we did at Fulham consistently we're not going to win any of them.
"Sunday's game is a big one for us - and for West Ham - but so will the game after that and so on and so forth.
"If staying up came down to battling and spirit then we'd be as good as anybody.
"But it won't just come down to that - we've got to take our chances when they come.
"We can't do what Fulham do and splash out on quality players but we do have certain strengths and we've got to play to them to try and win games."
