MY husband and I have three young children to bring up, and teach them what a caring world this can be.

We took them to Heaton Park on Sunday to get fresh air. We parked up and noticed a large fun fair to treat the children. While queuing up to get in, we noticed a large waggon parked near noisy rides.

We went into a medium marquee selling burgers, hot dogs, candy etc, and at the end of it was a small opening where in came a baby elephant. We were all cornered off from it by a piece of rope.

An old women then threw mints to its feet and asked people if they would like their photo taken for £3. It was told to move back by an old man. As this failed, it was given a kick to the back leg. Lots of young boys jeered at it, like it was a freak show.

We left the fair rather upset as to how people can still use such fantastic creatures for propaganda.
