Ground: Old Trafford.
Nickname: Red Devils, Reds.
Manager: Sir Alex Ferguson.
League position: 2nd.
Top scorer: Ruud van Nistelrooy - 26 (11 Premiership).
Last six Premiership: Man City (h) drew 1-1; Birmingham (a) won 1-0; Southampton (a) won 2-0; Chelsea (h) won 2-1; West Brom (a) won 3-1; Sunderland (h) won 2-0.
Last time out: United 2, Juventus 1 (Champions League).
How they lined up: Barthez; G. Neville, Ferdinand, Brown, Sylvestre (O'Shea 52); Beckham, Keane, Butt, Giggs (Forlan 89); Scholes (Solskjaer 79), van Nistelrooy.
Danger man: Van Nistelrooy, of course. Whether they focus on cutting off the supply or concentrate on suffocating the man himself, Wanderers know they must stop the prolific Dutchman if they are to stop United.
Form guide: Six Premiership wins on the trot re-affirmed United as the most serious challengers to Arsenal's claim on a second successive title triumph. But a somewhat less convincing display in the Manchester derby and a 2-0 home defeat by Arsenal in the FA Cup last Saturday brought them down to earth. You cannot keep good players down for long, though, and the Reds come to the Reebok tomorrow knowing that Wednesday night's victory over Juventus has all but booked them a place in the last eight of the Champions League.
Selection update: Fergie may have to make changes with Sylvestre and Scholes picking up injuries on Wednesday night and will probably elect to recall Veron after suspension. But, having switched his priorities back to the Premiership, he is likely to keep unforced changes to a minimum and field his strongest possible side.
This season: United 0, Wanderers 1 (Nolan).
