A MANCHESTER man is seriously ill in a Cyprus hospital after a moped accident on the holiday island last month. Stefan Schelze, aged 42, has been in a coma since suffering serious head injuries, but has no prospect of returning home because he has no health insurance.
Cyprus health minister Frixos Sawides has pledged to help by waiving hospital fees and paying for transport home.
