ATHERTON fundraiser Simon Whittaker is all set for this year's Flora London Marathon -- as long as he can stay ahead of the deep sea diver.
Simon, of Worthing Grove, said: "My ultimate nightmare is finishing behind the man in the diving suit who came in last, last year."
Simon's 26.2 mile run, in aid of Cancer Research, might take a little longer than his last sponsored event, when he bungee jumped off a railway bridge in France to raise money for asthma research.
Simon will run as part of the 1,500 strong Cancer Research UK team. If you would like to sponsor Simon, you can contact him on www.justgiving.com/simon 2003.
Alternatively, if you are already running in this year's marathon, and would like to help raise money for Cancer Research UK please call 0870 162 1622 or e-mail running@cancer.org.uk
