POLICE are contacting runners after an East Lancashire man was injured in a half-marathon.
Officers will speak to all entrants in the Great North Western run after a blue 4x4 vehicle towing a straw-filled trailer hit three runners from behind in Runshaw Lane, Euxton, at 10.25am yesterday. The car failed to stop and continued towards Euxton.
Terence Robinson, 56, from Blackburn Road, Clayton-le-Moors, received cuts and bruises.
Gary Morley, 42, from Bootle, was taken to Preston Royal Infirmary with serious head injuries, although his condition is not said to be life-threatening.
