TWO Year 12 pupils at Bolton School Boys' Division were awarded scholarships at the Institution of Electrical Engineers in London for their outstanding work in design and technology.
William Sheaff, sponsored by the Institution, and Daniel Tanham, sponsored by Pilkington Glass, both aged 16, received their Arkwright Scholarships from Dr Alf Roberts, chief executive of the institution at a special ceremony.
The Arkwright Trust supports pupils during their A Levels by awarding them £250 a year to help with materials and books. The school also receives cash help for their work.
