THE Brixi Singers appear in concert at St Bartholomew's Church, Westhoughton on Saturday, March 8, at 7.30pm.
The evening will mainly be devoted to the works of two composers, with performances of Mozart's Requiem and the lesser known Magnificent by Brixi -- after who the choir is named.
Members were so impressed by the work of the Czech composer that they adopted the name Brixi. Conductor Richard Lea feels it is important to continue to present his music and introduce it to a wider audience.
Soloists will be Susie Riley and Eleanor Hill (soprano); Alison Thompson (alto); David Griffiths and Paul Stanley (tenor); and David Clayton (bass).
Tickets, £7 (£6 concessions) are from 01204 407234.
