DESPITE being bottom of the West Lancashire League table Blackrod have made it through to the final of the Lancashire Amateur Shield.
There they will meet Charnock Richard after a 4-0 success over Springfields, who were reduced to ten men for a stamping offence on Rob Findown with the game just 22 minutes old.
David Sutch opened the scoring from the penalty spot, with further strikes from Mick Crispin, Johnny Sakon and Mark Callow clinching the win.
Eagley returned pointless from their Premier League game at Fulwood but the 3-0 scoreline flattered their opponents.

Tempest United produced their best display in several weeks to snatch a 2-2 draw against promotion hopefuls Poulton.
United took the lead through John Crossland and were 2-0 up by the break, with Mohmed slotting home at the far post. But Poulton bagged two late goals to level matters.
