Q: Is neat Lavender oil safe for putting on burns or is there anything else more suitable?
A: Neat lavender can be put on minor burns as long as the skin hasn't broken, apply on a damp gauze to larger areas. It has rapid healing and analgesic properties and will prevent any blistering if applied quickly after burning occurs. To minimise scarring apply Aloe Vera juice directly from the plant to the affected area daily. Serious burns require medical attention.
