I WILL definitely support your parking protest.
Last summer I was fined £30 for being 50p short. A genuine mistake on my part. But I am a widow and pensioner, so the £30 was a real hardship for me and the adjudication didn't go in my favour. This was bad enough, but, on November 5, I went into Bolton for a meeting and was only there for two hours and my car was ransacked when I got back to it.
As a rate payer, I would like to think that, if I went into Bolton only now and again, I would be safe to leave my car there. I have stopped going, unless it is absolutely necessary. The whole business has unnerved me.
This was the second time my car has been broken into. Money should be spent on more protection for the motorist, not constant persecution and even more charges.
