MARK Molyneaux won't be taking anything for granted when his side travels to third from bottom Bishop Auckland tomorrow.

The Chorley manager saw his players run riot at North Ferriby United on Tuesday night and said the margin of victory could have been even greater than 3-1.

"We could have scored about seven with the chances we had, and we had two penalty appeals turned down," said Molyneaux who could not hide his anger at the referee.

"It infuriates me how manager's a told off for showing their frustration but referees get away with murder.

"We've won the game and all I can do is complain about the referee, and that's not how it should be.

"You just want them to be on the same wavelength as yourself and hold their hands up when they've made a mistake and admit it. But they don't and these mistakes are brushed under the carpet."

Looking ahead to their trip to the North East this weekend, Molyneaux admitted he would have to prepare his side for a different task after beating high flying North Ferriby.

"Bishop Auckland have been struggling all season but they are a physically strong side and we know from playing them at our place earlier in the season they are very direct," he continued.

"It's another test for us after playing tremendously well against the top sides in the division, but it's a game we've got to win if we are to achieve anything.

But Molyneaux believes he has got a squad big enough and talented enough to cope with whatever teams throw at them.

Joe Murray, Lee Wilkinson, Chris Patterson, Lee Molyneaux and Phil Bayliss - all key players - were all missing from Tuesday's winning side, but their replacements were more than capable of inflicting only the fourth defeat of the season on promotion hopefuls North Ferriby.

"That's the beauty of our squad. There are lots of people who are versatile and capable of doing a job in the first team," Molyneaux added.

Midfielder Ian Barker is still doubtful after sustaining a knee injury in last Saturday's 2-0 win over Spennymoor United, while right back Paul Varley serves a one-match ban after picking up five bookings.
