TEEN pop trio La Caj are to air their debut single at the International Women's Day Festival in Manchester.
The Harwood-based group will play the track, called 'Our Song', in the Town Hall, in Albert Square on Sunday.
It follows months of voice coaching from David and Carrie Grant, the same showbiz couple who trained young performers on hit TV shows Fame Academy and Pop Idol.
La Caj -- made up of all-girl singers Cassie Butterworth, aged 16, sister Abby, 13, and their pal Jane Shakeshaft, 16 hope to release the single in summer. It is a pop salsa song which includes the girls singing in Spanish and it has been written specially for the group.
The girls' manager, Tracie Ross, said: "They can't wait to perform it. It will be the first time at a public event."
The festival takes place at Manchester Town Hall to mark the launch of International Women's Week and as well as La Caj, performing between noon and 4pm there will be a programme of live entertainment, demonstrations, displays and activities.
