NEIL Turley will step up his comeback on Saturday night when he makes a return to senior action for Leigh Centurions.

Turley's re-appearance in the first team will come at Castleford, 6pm kick-off, when the Centurions and the Tigers will fight out a friendly game at The Jungle.

With both clubs prematurely knocked out of the Challenge Cup, the game is an ideal opportunity for both teams to test themselves in competitive action.

"Neil started his comeback in the Academy against Wigan last weekend and he stood up OK. Now's the time to put him to the test again," says Terzis.

"But I'm not expecting miracles from him. I want him fully fit and firing when the league games start in April. If he completes the season with his usual 25 tries and bagful of goals, I'll be delighted."

But Terzis does admit that a good performance from Turley and, providing there is no reaction, he could force himself into the reckoning for the trip to Rochdale the following week. "We'll assess things after the Castleford game," he says."

Injuries to Alan Hadcroft (infected cut), John Duffy (thigh), Sonny Nickle (elbow) and John Hamilton (hand) as well as work commitments for Michael Watts means that there a number of changes to the Leigh side.

Lee Sanderson replaces Duffy at scrum half with Bryan Henare moving up to the front row to cover Nickle's absence. Eric Andrews deputises for Hadcroft with Dave Bradbury back in the squad after a thigh injury.

Terzis has chosen a 20-man squad but under RL rules only 18 will be allowed to play.

The squad is: Turley, Rivett, Cardoza, Munro, Andrews, Weisner, Sanderson, Ball, Rowley, Henare, Blackwood, Richardson, Bristow, Swann, Alstead, Bradbury, Holdstock, Kendrick, Woods and Maddox.
