LEGENDS from Bolton Wanderers past and present will be among the guests at the Mayor's annual dinner and cabaret.
Fans of the great Roy Hartle, who played in the 1958 Cup Final, will be able to rub shoulders with the famous full back who will be joined by today's manager Sam Allardyce.
The pair will be among diners at Bolton Town Hall on Thursday evening -- the first part of the two-night affair. Tickets are still available, although the following evening, Friday, March 7, is already a sell out.
It is the first time the event has been staged over two nights. The Mayor, Cllr John Walsh, said both nights would be great entertainment with an Abba tribute band and Bolton Youth Jazz Orchestra.
He said: "The tickets are great value for money, at £20 for the Thursday night. Where in Bolton can you get a five course meal and top class entertainment for that price?"
The Mayor said he was so pleased with the recent charity ball to celebrate the town's 750th anniversary, that he wanted to build on the success.
He added: "The evening is always popular and people come back every year so this year we thought we would spread it over two nights. We are expecting 300 on each night.
"By doing it this way we can open the event up to more people instead of the few hundred in previous years. And it is all in a good cause as the proceeds go to the Mayor's Coronary Care Appeal."
The Festival Hall and Banqueting Hall will be used for dining with the Albert Hall turned over to dancing for the evening. The Master of Ceremonies will be Kevin Williams.
Tickets are available from the Mayor's office at the Town Hall. Dress is optional with lounge suits for the men.
