SATURDAY: AN impressive Bolton performance capped by a 61st minute Bruno N'Gotty goal - only his second for the club - looks like securing a derby double over Manchester United for the first time in 24 years.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer equalises in the last minute of normal time, making it the fourth time this season Wanderers have surrendered a 1-0 lead going into the final minutes. Sam Allardyce lshes his players and referee Andy D'Urso for failing to award a penalty for John O'Shea's blatant foul on Ivan Campo. Paul Warhurst says his nightmare run of injuries have made this the worst season of his professional career.
MONDAY
HENRIK Pedersen is ruled out for up to five weeks after spraining ligaments in his shoulder in the United game. Warhurst makes his comeback in the reserves who beat Manchester City 2-1 at Gigg Lane to record only their second win of the season. Jonathan Walters and Jermaine Johnson get the goals.
TUESDAY
SAM Allardyce apologises to his players for criticising their lack of professionalism after the United game, switching the bulk of the blame on the officials who, in addition to denying Wanderers a penalty, crucially failed to spot that both David Beckham and Solskjaer were offside for the United goal. Loan strikers Salva Ballesta and Pierre-Yves Andre are told whoever replaces Pedersen will have a hard act to follow.
WEDNESDAY
DESCRIBING Wanderers' last-gasp squanderings as a "psychological barrier", Allardyce is in a dilemma over how resident psychologist, Mike Forde, should address the problem. "It's question of how much we go on about it," the manager explains.
THURSDAY
JAY-JAY Okocha is hailed as one of the best players in the Premiership but Allardyce says playing for one of the less fashionable Premiership sides means the Nigerian international does not get the credit he deserves.
FRIDAY
JONATHAN Walters joins Hull City on a month's loan. Wanderers released him in a bid to boost his first-team experience. The 19 year-old forward arrived at the Reebok Stadium last year from neighbours Blackburn Rovers and figured in Wanderers' pre-season schedule - scoring a stunning goal against Verona at the Reebok.
