A CACOPHONY of music is coming from St James School, Farnworth, as the orchestra prepare for an intensive training weekend and forthcoming concert.
The 100 strong group of mini maestros will be going to Willow Grange, Sheffield, where experts will train them in works as diverse as, Prokofiev and The Beatles.
Run in association with Bolton Music Service the youngsters are also gearing up for a concert at the school on April 1.
Clarinet player, Yvonne Elsden, aged 16 said: "It will be really good and we are all really looking forward to it. It really helps because we get trained in sections and as a whole orchestra."
Flautist, Vicky Parden, aged 15 added: "It is great fun because you get to meet people in the orchestra and taught by some really great people."
Head of music at the school, Barbara Barratt said the expereince was extremely benficial to all that attend.
