SARA Cox is coming home for a three-day Radio One extravaganza -- live in Bolton.

The Bolton-born DJ announced on her Breakfast Show that she is bringing fellow presenters Mark Radcliffe, a former Bolton School boy, and his sidekick Lard, Judge Jules and the Sunday Surgery's Emma B and Dr Mark Hamilton to her home town on Friday, March 28.

They will spend the weekend broadcasting a series of live shows from various venues in the town.

At the request of Sara, 30 Year 11 pupils from the DJ's former school, Smithills, will join her and the rest of the Breakfast Show team from 7am as they broadcast live from the Life Cafe Bar in Nelson Square. Head of Year 11, Hazel Buckley said: "We will be using our attitude points system, which is based on the behaviour of pupils, to choose who will get to go along.

"It's very exciting and will be great for the students to meet a past pupil who has done well, especially in a field they admire."

This is the second time the award-winning DJ -- who recently branched out into television presenting on Channel 4's Born Sloppy -- has hosted a live event in the town she calls home.

She fronted Radio One's One Big Sunday summer event in Moss Bank Park three years ago, which attracted crowds of 120,000. Radio One's One Life team will also be on hand over the three days to advise on careers, money, love and life and offer make-over opportunities and the chance to meet a personal trainer.

The One Music team will be offering advice on the music business, the chance to listen to demos with Radio One DJs and industry experts, and the chance to try out as a radio presenter.

Further details of the event, on March 28, 29 and 30, will be available soon on the Radio One website www.bbc .co.uk/radio1.
