THE world's largest motorised dustbin paid a visit to Bolton, much to the amusement of local shoppers.
The three-metre high dustbin, complete with its own driver, cruised around Victoria Square to promote recycling.
The Rethink Rubbish campaign is a national campaign and Bolton's part in it was launched by comedian Dave Spikey, star of TV phenomenon Phoenix Nights.
He said: "I think this is a fantastic cause. I have always recycled; it doesn't take much trouble to take your glass and plastic bottles to the supermarket when you do you shopping. Every little bit helps."
The campaign aims to get people to rethink what they do with their rubbish, with 60 per cent of waste in an average dustbin being recycleable.
