ASTLEY Miners clinched their fourth Bolton Pioneer League Premier Division title in succession with a 2-1 victory over Hulton Lane.
Miners made the breakthrough on a heavy pitch in the 25th minute when Neil Mason expertly headed home Danoy's cross.
Hulton Lane hit back but Miners held firm and went further ahead 10 minutes into the second half when Dave Lees swung over a corner and John Powell headed the second.
Hulton Lane pulled a goal back 12 minutes from time with a fine strike by Junior Cover.
Willows' chances of runners-up spot suffered a setback with a 3-0 home defeat by Little Hulton.
In Division One Royal Hotel stay top after a thrilling 5-4 home victory over HSM Old Boys. Moss hit twice for HSM.
A goal by Hall was not enough to boost Lion's title hopes as they were restricted to a point by Great Lever who earlier had gone ahead through Vasaya. Railway's joy was short against North Bolton. Duncan put them ahead but Bolton hit back with goals from Jones and two from Gibbons to secure a 3-1 victory.
White Horse kept the pressure on at the top with a 4-1 victory over Masons Arms.
Goalscorers were player-manager McTeigue, Gallagher, Harrison and O'Rourke.
Faux Forest enjoyed an excellent 5-1 victory over Sharples with Evans and Forshaw grabbing two each.
