MORE than one-third of office workers eat their lunch while working at their desk in order to impress the boss, according to a survey.

Connections Employment Agency's survey found 39 per cent of office staff take a working lunch.

The agency said that most of them would prefer to take a whole hour away from their desk but felt working through boosted their chance of promotion.

But Jonathan Dobkin, at Connections' Manchester office, said most modern managers look for skills beyond slaving away.
