MPs including Bolton's Dr Brian Iddon faced tough competition when they took part in a pancake day race against rival politicians in Downing Street.
Dr Iddon, part of the Labour team, was up against the Conservatives, the Liberal Democrats and The House of Lords -- who won the race.
Though not a sore loser, Dr Iddon said: "It was a fix!" But he added: "It's a bit of fun and something we do every year."
The fun had a serious message, with the race raising money for rehab.UK, a charity which helps rehabilitate people who have suffered from brain injuries.
Meanwhile, Lofty the Lion and fellow football mascots from around the region were also taking part in a pancake race.
Unfortunately, the Bolton Wanderers mascot dropped his pancake as he was storming to the finish line in the first round of the competition at The Printworks in Manchester, which had been arranged to raise money for Comic Relief.
Crowds gathered to cheer Lofty, Roar from Blackburn Rovers, Manchester United's Fred the Red, Chaddy the Owl from Oldham and Moonchester and Moonbeam from Manchester City.
Roar and Moonchester made it through to the final, with the Manchester City mascot lifting the prestigious trophy.
In Bolton, children at Holy Infants and St Anthony RC Primary School in Astley Bridge did not miss out on the fun. The six and seven-year-olds were invited down to Asda to make, taste and race pancakes.
