THAI boxing champion Sandy Holt is taking a break from his Hollywood acting career to commentate for a late-night show on Five.
Double British and European winner Sandy is co-commentating on Kickboxing, a programme which runs every Tuesday at 12.55am.
It follows his stint as a baddie in Highbinders -- Martial Arts expert Jackie Chan's 34 million dollar film
Sandy, owner of Bolton Thai-boxing Club, has been battling for the sport to be shown on television for 25 years.
He said: "It's brilliant that there's finally a regular slot. The hope is that people will watch it and want to take up the sport."
The 41-year-old, who lives in Halliwell, is no stranger to television.
His other achievements include breaking a world record by doing 125 press-ups in 60 seconds on Granada TV. But this will be his first regular stint as a commentator. One of his students, John Hale, the British light middleweight champion, is being featured during one of the 18 half-hour shows.
Sandy, pictured here with Jackie on the film set, said: "This is the biggest breakthrough this sport could have had."
