COMMUNITY groups in Bury are being offered the chance to be included on a prestigious website that gathers together the best education material in the country.
The National Grid for Learning (NGfL) is a free Government-funded scheme that acts as a gateway to more than 900 quality-assured websites.
Many of these sites contain material aimed for use by teachers in schools, but there is a growing amount of information for people not in formal learning, whether they are parents, adult learners or those interested in finding out more about a hobby.
The NGfL -- which can be reached at www.ngfl.gov.uk -- is inviting community, interest and activity groups, libraries, councils, charities or museums in Bury to put their websites forward for possible inclusion. Those accepted will be able to display the prestigious NGfL logo.
, which shows that a website meets the standards needed to be included.
