MEDICAL care in Walkden could receive a boost on Thursday night when planning bosses discuss proposals for a health centre.
Salford Council's planning panel is set to examine the proposed health and social care building at its monthly meeting.
It is likely to include GP surgeries, health visitor clinics, specialist health care services and other public facilities, including community rooms and a library.
Outline planning permission is expected to be sought to build the centre on disused land in Cloverfield Walk and Fitchfield Walk, near Walkden Congregational Church.
The development, which has been recommended for approval, will also include car parking spaces.
Plans for a takeaway in Morston Close, Worsley, were also due to be discussed on Thursday night.
