A PANTOMIME troupe will sound good and be all lit up on Friday night.
A new lighting and sound system has been installed in the main hall of the Barlow Institute, Bolton Road, Edgworth -- just in time for this year's pantomime, Jack and the Magic Bean.
Money for the work has come from the profits made from last year's pantomime, Aladdin. The project has also been funded by North Turton Parish Council. Vice-chairman Councillor David Smith said the village's Pantomine Group could not wait to test out the new equipment.
Starting tonight, the pantomime will run over the next two weekends with productions tomorrow and Saturday, and on Friday, March 14, and Saturday March 15, from 7.15pm. Sunday matinees on March 9 and March 16 start 3pm.
Tickets costing £5 for adults and £3 concessions are available from Joyce Pollard on 01204 852 641 or from The Barlow Institute on 01204 852 216.
Cllr Smith said: "All are welcome to attend and it should be an excellent show."
He added: "In the last few years the Barlow Institute has been going from strength to strength with all the rooms in the building now being used morning, afternoon and evening, every day."
