TEENAGERS from Bolton who tackled crime and disorder in their community hope to clean up at an award ceremony on Friday night.
The Musgrave Musketeers are finalists in the Make A Difference competition organised by Greater Manchester Police.
They won the regional heat after helping to revamp a park on the Musgrave estate in Heaton.
Graffiti was cleaned off all the equipment before it was repainted and a safe off-street football area was created for local children to use.
The team also tackled street crime issues, visiting elderly people in the area and providing them with crime prevention advice including handing out personal attack alarms.
The Musketeers will be up against 11 groups from across the Greater Manchester area, with a chance of winning £2,000 for their group and £2,000 for a charity or community initiative of their choice.
