JONATHAN Walters has been told he could still play a part in Wanderers' survival mission - despite being loaned out to Hull City.
The young Reebok striker made a sensational start to his month's stay on Humberside, scoring two and making two in Saturday's 5-1 victory at Carlisle.
He followed that up with an impressive performance in the 1-0 win at Macclesfield on Tuesday - a performance watched by Wanderers' first team coach Neil McDonald who returned with favourable reports.
"The lad's on top of the world at the minute," Sam Allardyce said of the 19-year-old he snapped up from Blackburn at the end of last season.
"Hopefully he'll come back like Delroy Facey did and be ready to play a part for us in our survival."
