AFTER going to the Reebok Stadium to watch the charity match, I can only say that I left feeling extremely disappointed.
While having no problem donating to charity - I would have paid more to watch the listed players - I feel that we were duped into believing that a number of the world's finest players would be on show on Tuesday night.
If this was industry would the trading standards investigate?
While the first half was indeed enjoyable, with the few stars on show playing in an entertaining, showman style, it was left to Sam to cover the absentees by playing a number of players in a pointless, tedious second half. Unfortunately I feel some of this will rub off on the name of the club, when I'm sure they were not responsible. The charity should now come forward end explain why so many stars failed to play and thank the club for providing enough players to fulfil the fixture.
