HAVING paid my £10 to see Patrick Kluivert, Ronaldinho and all the other world class stars we were assured would be on view at the Reebok on Tuesday night I was horrified to see my money had only paid to see a bunch of also rans.
To say the game was boring is putting it mildly. If I had known what a waste of time it was going to be I would have been happier to hand over my tenner to the charity and done something else with my time.
I'm quite happy with the idea of raising money for charity with a football match but what I'm not happy about is being told certain players are going to be there and then turning up, paying my money and finding out they are not.
I wanted to see Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira, Thuram and Makalele as well as Kluivert and Ronaldinho but I had to make do with Wanderers players I can see every week, B and C list continental players and average players from Charlton, City and Blackburn.
