I TOOK my two sons on a 42-mile round trip to watch Tuesday night's charity match.
We all got souvenir programmes, put money in the collecting buckets, bought three match tickets and all we got was ripped off.
If this was any other business it would contradict the Trades Description Act.
Out of the 39 players listed to play for the Rest of the World team only two played. Henry, Cambell, Thuram, Pires, Gilberto, Ronaldinho, Vieira, Ljungberg, Makelele, Djorkaeff, Zenden, Lampard, Hasselbaink, Rooney and Gudjohnsen, just to name a few, were among the 37 who did not turn up and we were totally gutted.
Even if a few stars would have made an appearance, it would have been okay. But we got mostly players we had never heard of or reserves.
We were cheated and I hope the charity organisers give an explanation. We understood some players would not make it, but not nearly all of them. It was a total sham.
I will never support these charities again.
