Wanderers legends past and present were among the guests at the annual Mayor's charity ball and cabaret on Thursday night.
Bolton manager Sam Allardyce was joined by Roy Hartle, who played in Wanderers' 1958 Cup Final victory over Manchester United, at the big bash in Bolton Town Hall.
It was the first part of a two-night ball, with part two taking place tonight.
All money raised will go to the Bolton Coronary Care Appeal.
The Mayor's office hopes that more than £3,000 will be donated to the appeal from the two nights.
Last night began with the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr John Walsh, greeting about 200 guests.
They went on to have dinner in the Festival Hall at Bolton town hall. After the meal, they danced the night away entertained by a cabaret in the Albert Halls.
Tonight, about 300 people are expected, the majority of the crowd being made up of commercial sponsors.
It is the first time the ball has been held over two nights, which organisers said was due to the event's growing popularity.
Cllr Walsh said: "In the year that Bolton celebrated the town's 750th anniversary, this ball really is one to let your hair down to. And it's all in a good cause."
