A Walkden schoolboy met one of his acting heroes when he came face to face with soap opera villain Richard Hillman.
Tom Hudson, aged 16, who plays bad boy Baz Wainwright in children's TV drama Grange Hill, met actor Brian Capron on the Coronation Street set in Manchester.
It was a thrill for Tom, a pupil at Walkden High School, who plays a troubled schoolboy in the BBC drama.
Brian, aged 54, who plays on-the-run "Tricky Dickie" in the Street, spent three years in Grange Hill as woodwork teacher Stuart Hopwood in the early 1980s.
His Street character is currently on the run after confessing to wife Gail that he murdered hairdresser Maxine Peacock and ex-wife Patricia. Viewers will see how he meets a grisly end next Friday.
Tom said: "I think Brian has played Hillman brilliantly and the way he made the character so evil and yet plausible is the reason viewers grew to hate him so much."
