BOLTON midfielder Nicky Adams has been named in a 16 strong Greater Manchester Under 16s squad for their Premier League Trophy quarter final tie against Shropshire at Lilleshall on Friday (2pm).
The local youngster has been a key figure in the county side, who have also made it into the Final of the Northern Counties competion.
Premier League Trophy quarter final draw is : Sussex v Somerset orDorset, Berkshire v Bedfordshire, West Yorkshire v Humberside, Shropshire v Greater Manchester.
Greater Manchester Under 19s are also chasing national silverware and they made it into the quarter finals with a 3-1 win against Northumberland in the North East on Saturday.
The quarter final line up in the Uner 19s competition is : Sussex v Dorset or Somerset, Berkshire v Bedfordshire, West Yorkshire v Humberside, Shropshire v Greater Manchester.
Meanwhile, at inter association level, Bury Under 15s' Greater Manchester Schools' County Cup semi final clash against Wigan was postponed and will be played next Saturday at the Derby School.
The two teams met at the Derby School on Saturday but the referee called the game off just half an hour before the kick off. The cup tie has been quickly rearranged for next Saturday.
Bolton Under 14s' Greater Manchester Schools' League match against Oldham was also postponed.
