Wanderers midfielder Gareth Farrelly has signed on loan for Rotherham after weeks of speculation.
He will go straight into the Millers squad for the trip to Gillingham on Saturday.
Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore said: "Gareth's not an aggressive player but he'll give us something a bit different in midfield, particularly away from home when he can put his foot on the ball.
"We've got Sam Allardyce to thank for helping him come here. I've complained in the past about Premiership managers forgetting where they came from but he's done us a favour with this one."
Moore said he hoped Farrelly's stay could be longer than a month.
Farrelly player signed for Wanderers from Everton in December 1999 but has only made 10 appearances this season.
