A PLASTIC toilet seat signed by chart stars including Bolton's Badly Drawn Boy has been sold for £1,000 at a charity auction.
The seat was signed by acts appearing at the Glastonbury Festival last summer. Other chart stars lending their signatures were the band, Coldplay, and the late Joe Strummer.
The sale, held by organisers of the festival, raised £18,000 for the Third World charity, Water Aid.
A pair of wellington boots also signed by Coldplay fetched £250. Paintings of bands by Glastonbury artist in residence Kurt Jackson raised thousands.
Top price went to a Coldplay portrait, which was sold for £2,300, while a picture of Moby and one of The Dandy Warhols had price tags of £1,000 each.
