Westhoughton Lions U8s...36
Wigan St Patrick's U8s...20
LIONS never looked like losing after they ran in four tries to Wigan's two in a strong first half.
Man of the match Steven Haydock went on to notch five tries, with Jamie Cloran, two, Jacob Hartwell and Tom Price also adding to the scoresheet.
Creative support and solid defensive play was provided by Dom Quinn, Abby Jones, Mark Charlton and Harry Baxendale.
Wigan St Judes U11s...34
Westhoughton U11s...16
A SLOW start by the Lions defence let the Wigan side in for two early scores and left the visitors facing an uphill battle throughout.
David Parkinson put the Lions back in the game before St Judes increased their lead to 24-6.
Parkinson popped up to score his second and Ryan Brierley went in at the corner but it was too little too late.
Leyland Warriors U10s... 24
Westhoughton Lions U10s...16
A DISAPPOINTING display from Westhoughton was punished by a hard-working Leyland outfit.
Warriors were 10-0 up within five minutes before Matt Veal gave Lions some hope.
Later tries from Davidson and Matt Crow reduced the arrears to 18-16 and set up a nail-biting final five minutes but their indiscipline cost them again as Leyland ran in a final score.
