THE REEBOK is set to be entertained by the country's most promising young players according to acting FA technical director Les Reed.
The coaching guru has identified John Peacock's England under-17 side as the age group with the most outstanding ability of the current crop, and has tipped them to go all the way on the European and world stage.
The youngsters will take on their Slovakian counterparts in a game at Wanderers' stadium on Friday night at 7pm, which is one of three UEFA Under-17 Championships qualifying games for the side in a five day spell.
They will play the Czech Republic tonight at Chester City before a match at Prenton Park with Scotland on Sunday.
The winning team in the group of three will take part in the finals in Portugal this summer, and the winner of that tournament will then take part in a world competition later in the year.
Reed said: "The team I have real high hopes of is the under-17 team. I am convinced if they get to the European finals they have a great chance of qualifying for the FIFA World under-17 Youth Championships in August."
England will include players from Manchester United, Newcastle, Leeds and Spurs among their ranks.
Tickets for the Reebok game are £3 for adults (£5 on the day) and £1 concessions. The ticket hotline is 0871 8712932.
