BEER drinkers have raised a record amount for charity.
Atherton and Tyldesley Round Table have announced that, for the first time, they have made more than £20,000 at the annual Bent & Bongs Beer Bash.
This means they will be able to help a number of local good causes, including Childflight and Francis House Children's Hospice.
A Round Table spokesman said: "We would also like to thank all of the sponsors who make the event possible, the customers who yet again made it a trouble-free event, and all the people who worked so hard to make it such a success."
