LORD Nelson held their first aggregate match of the new campaign adjacent to Old Trafford's towering North Stand on the Bridgewater canal and most anglers had a good day despite the windy conditions.
Reigning club champion Trevor Bevin continued where he left off last season in sizzling form by taking the match with a mixed bag of roach perch and skimmers, mixing between bloodworm and castor to record 4lb 13oz 15dr.
Kenny Stewart made second place with roach ahead perch taken on joker. Mark Armitage came third with an all roach bag of 4lb 3oz 9dr taken on bloodworm.
Others: 4th Pete Caloe 3lb 8oz 15dr, 5th Tony Carter 3lb 1oz 10dr, 6th Mark Farrell 2lb 13oz 8dr.
