CARING pupils from Canon Slade School are hoping to raise £1,000 for charity by completing a two-hour walk before school every day for a week.
Seven pupils are walking to Canon Slade, in Bradshaw Brow, Bolton, from Ramsbottom to raise money for Christian charity World Vision.
They start walking at 6.45am and are due to arrive in school at 8.40am.
So far the teenagers from the Christian Youth Group have raised around £600 for starving people in Africa and they are hoping to hit the £1,000 mark.
Carol Brooking, head of girls' PE at the school, said: "They are travelling a reasonable distance, but parents are helping out by driving the pupils' bags and books to school."
The youngsters are aged between 14 and 18.
