CHORLEY striker Andy Mason plans to fire the Magpies into the play-offs after ditching his super-sub tag.
The former Bolton and Macclesfield man was left out of manager Mark Molyneaux's starting lune-up earlier this season.
But the 28-year-old was reinstated after scoring regularly from the bench.
And he hopes to grab the goals to lift Chorley into the top six.
"I've scored 17 goals in 19 starts and I'm hoping to get 20 plus by the end of the season," said Mason, Chorley's only contracted player.
"But it doesn't matter who scores as long as we win the games. That's the most important thing."
Mason, who is two goals away from his half century since signing from Leigh RMI two seasons ago, added: "I was frustrated when I was put on the bench. But I've never wanted to leave Chorley.
"It's just that we've got a big squad at the club and it was how the manager wanted to use it.
"I'm out of contract at the end of the season so it's up to the manager what happens after that.
"It may depend on whether we get promoted or not.
"All I can do right now is keep scoring goals."
And Mason, who has also played professional football in Hong Kong and Finland, is hoping he is fit enough to start tomorrow at Witton Albion following a freak accident last week.
After scoring in the 3-1 home win over Leek Town, Mason slid into the dugout and needed hospital treatment for a head wound.
"I'm hoping I'm okay to play," he said.
"As long as I get it bandaged up I should be fine."
Mason added he was expecting a tough game against eighth-placed Witton Albion tomorrow, who are just four points behind Chorley, and five points away from a play-off spot.
"It will be a tough game, especially at this stage of the season because we are desperate to get into the play-offs," he said.
"We're not far off, but we've just got to take each game as it comes.
"It's a big game tomorrow and we need three points to build on what we did against Leek. The lads showed a lot of character to bounce back from the defeat against Bishop Auckland."
