BOLTON and Bury Chamber's chief executive has moved to start a new job -- in the same building.
Andrew Ratcliff, aged 56, is on secondment from the Chamber for two years to establish a new Business Liaison and investment Service.
The initiative -- aimed at improving Bolton's business development prospects -- is a partnership between the Chamber and Bolton Council.
Its new service is due to start in August, once refurbishment at the Chamber's base -- Commerce House, in Bridgeman Place -- is complete. Cllr John Byrne, executive member for economic development on Bolton Council, said: "This partnership comes at a time when we are seeking to secure the economic position of Bolton.
"It is seen as a significant venture that will combine public and private sector expertise to ensure that Bolton sustains its vibrant business community and also makes the most of opportunities to attract new investment."
